03 - Equipment & Data Processing -
I utilise professional-grade computer equipment for the processing, editing, and secure handling of all images. This includes a high-performance system ensuring efficient workflow, reliable performance, and the ability to handle large volumes of high-resolution image data.
All images are processed using industry-standard software and stored on secure systems. I take reasonable steps to ensure the safety, integrity, and proper handling of all digital files throughout the editing and delivery process.
04 - Data Backup -
Backing up my data to three separate locations is incredibly important to me because I know how easily things can go wrong. Hardware can fail without warning, devices can be lost or stolen, and files can become corrupted. On top of that, threats like ransomware or other cyberattacks could lock me out of my own information in an instant. If I only had one backup, I’d still be vulnerable to a single point of failure. By keeping three copies—my main working version and two separate backups—I greatly reduce the risk that one incident could cause permanent data loss.
I follow the “3-2-1 backup rule” because it gives me confidence that I’m protected from multiple types of risks at the same time. I actually keep 3 backups locally for quick recovery, one using a NAS (Network Attached Storage), I then have 4 large hard drives connected a one. I also have a dedicated backup computer with server grade hardware which runs the sync software for the backup solution. I then have an offsite in the cloud system in case of fire, theft, or natural disaster. This layered approach gives me resilience and peace of mind. Knowing my important documents, photos, and projects are stored safely in three different locations means I can focus on my work without constantly worrying about losing everything.
I also make sure my backups run in real time whenever a file changes or when I add new files. That way, I’m not relying on a schedule that might leave gaps between backups. The moment I edit a document, save a project, or add new photos, those changes are automatically captured and synced to my backup locations. This continuous protection ensures that I’m not just backing up old versions of my data, but always preserving the most current and accurate versions. Knowing that every change is instantly protected gives me confidence that even if something happens unexpectedly.
